A quick pencil drawing I made last week at Zoio Filmes HQ in Natal, directly on the surface of a pillar. A fusion of the green goblet with deathblow - both comic book characters. The face is approximately 60cm tall x 30cm wide.
Though I've been trying to have my tailor-made sketchbooks around (thank Cadjoo for them!), I can't help sketching on leaflets, napkins and even airplane air-sickness paperbags!
This has produced a few quick sketches I'm posting for the sake of posting. Just because.
Here it is, the follow-up to my last post. The yellow image was the only given (existing) element to be mandatory in the poster. I added up a vector-version of the venue, as I picked it from their website image and aimed for a monochromatic poster. Later on, my friend, portrayed in the yellow frame, asked me for adjustments on its colour and the lettercase used on his name. I compromised, but not too much! =)
As the title gives away, this is a portion of a poster I'm designing. My friend asked me to advert a tribute concert to two of his idols, one of them being Jacques Brel (depicted above).
While the image on the left is a copy-hommage of a Tomar Hanuka drawing I like, the girl's face I owe to a beautiful girl I've met on a dinner with friends a while ago. It doesn't make her justice, but I think it's a good attempt.
When developping furniture gets boring or you get stuck...the workpad strikes again! Well, in this case, a workprint was hanging for too long in front of me.
Following a personal quest and also inspired or pushed by people like Danny Gregory and my friend Aleix, I've decided to come up with a blog in order to keep going. Here you'll find anything non-linearly produced or connected:
Sketches, ravings, music /comic /movie comments, design, architecture, digital illustrations and whatever rings my bell, whenever it may pop up into my mind!
